Hang on you lot! How does offering a discount support a small business?
The Coasties Card was created by our OG founder and forever honorary Coasties queen, Amy Nelmes-Bissett, to encourage Coasties like you to step into a Central Coast small business instead of spending your hard-earned dollars with a national or international crew. Inspired by the pandemic, the Coasties Card is a little turquoise tool to help supercharge our local economy. It costs nothing for a small business to join the initiative and the business has full autonomy over what they’d like to offer their beloved Coasties Card customers.
Okay, okay – it sounds fairly epic. How do I know if I’m eligible for a card?
If you’re a current Coastie with a Central Coast address, you’re in! This helps local businesses show the love to their local community as well as keeping our sweet savings exclusive to Central Coast residents.
Surely a card as fully-loaded as this one will cost a bomb!
If your bomb is less than the cost of a takeaway coffee a month, then sure (to be honest, we’re probably at half the cost of a takeaway coffee a month – the silver lining of #inflation… sure). That’s it – the Coasties Card is AMAZING value at $25 a year for an annual membership (renewing every 12 months) or $29 for a one-off year’s membership. WHAAAAT?! We know, right.
