Saigon Ơi, Erina 

Bringing a taste of Saigon to the Central Coast, Saigon Ơi in Fountain Plaza, Erina, is serving up Vietnamese street food with a modern twist. The grand opening was a huge success, with fantastic support from the local community and surrounding offices—making it the perfect spot for lunch or dinner. The star of the show? Their irresistible Banh Mi range, including the Exclusive Banh Mi (available only for dine-in) and favourites like the Roasted Pork Belly Banh Mi and Pork Char Siu Banh Mi. Each Banh Mi offers the perfect balance of crispy baguette, rich fillings, and punchy flavours.

In addition to these signature dishes, the menu also features aromatic Pho and the bold, spicy Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Beef Soup), offering even more variety for those craving something different. Just Frosted, Gosford

 

Sweet news for Gosford! Just Frosted has arrived, bringing cupcakes, cookies, slices, and custom cakes that look just as good as they taste. Whether you’re after a sweet treat, a show-stopping cake, or a fun decorating class, these guys have you covered. When Kyla (@cakesbykyla) handed over the reins to new owners Jono and Jo, she knew she’d left the cake scene in Gosford in good hands.

Burgerville & Co, the Entrance/Long Jetty

 

Burgerville is serving up classic burgers with a modern twist, and trust us, they look just as good as they taste. Translated it simply means, ‘the joy’ and what a joy it is! A family owned and operated business, with owners Courtney and Giuseppe (also known as Joe) both working in the restaurant.

 

Giuseppe’s goal is to bring the Central Coast a taste of Tuscany, where he grew up. So he invites you to indulge in an exquisite culinary journey, embracing the authentic flavours and heartfelt traditions of Italy. Each dish has been crafted by Joe with passion, using only the finest ingredients to ensure a truly remarkable dining experience.

When you dine at La Gioia, Courtney and Joe want you to have the type of experience where the aspects of food, wine, service and atmosphere combine to ensure it is joyful. “The joy of making memories around the table”.

 

The menu is a selection of Italian favourites, from a 3-hour slow-cooked osso bucco, to a four cheese gnocchi and all the extras you simply cannot go past.

The wine list is a well-selected arrangement of whites and reds to help accompany your Italian journey right here in Erina.

 

They currently have an offer on their 2 and 3 course lunch specials from Tuesday to Saturday, as well as their “Venerdi Aperitivo” where you can enjoy a complimentary canapé when purchasing an aperitivo, wine or cocktail from 3:30-5:30pm every Friday.

Don Pedros, Umina Beach

 

One version of happiness for me is eating tacos and drinking margaritas. You can’t be mad when these two things are combined and you can now get this exact combo in Umina thanks to Don Pedros opening their third location. Their menu sticks closely to authentic flavours and options and if you’re a lover of Mexican food, I highly recommend checking this one out.

 

Skina’s Coffee House, Erina

 

A local hospitality queen has taken over this little gem in Karalta Plaza, Erina. Still finalising their menu, we are expecting this to become a new favourite. Check out their socials for more info.

 

The Cnr., Woy Woy

 

Same great taste, with a new location. Moving to some bigger, more cozy digs on Chalmers Place, this is going to be a winter favourite for sure. Brewing delicious Mecca coffee and serving a range of delicious toasties, we recommend getting down there soon.

She Takes the Cake, Wyong

 

When a simple act of kindness turns into a successful business venture. This is exactly what happened for India, who kindly made a cake for a colleague back in 2018 and found a passion. Fast forward to today and the first week of June saw her opening her very own bricks and mortar storefront. So, if you’re needing a specialised cake for an event or celebration, get in touch via her website now.

 

Balanced Bowls, Bateau Bay

A fresh and healthy option has opened in Bateau Bay Square. As the name suggests, they serve up freshly made and well balanced, healthy bowls of warm goodness. The perfect lunch option all year round. Check out their socials here.

Details on this one are hard to come by. A single sign spotted in the south end of Gosford has eyes eagerly peeled and ears spiked! A lover of Asian eats, I am all attention in anticipation.

Bamboo Buddha, Holgate

 

Breathe in, breathe out. It’s back! One of the most tranquil cafe settings on the Central Coast is reopening and I am breathing the biggest sigh of relief. If you haven’t yet experienced the beautiful gardens, do yourself a favour and head out for a visit. The perfect place to relax and enjoy a slower pace. Check out Bamboo Buddha here.

Lago Cucina is set to offer a unique dining experience to the Central Coast community and beyond. Guests will journey up the stairs into a bright and inviting space where the textured white walls, natural stone, and arched enclaves evoke the feeling of a breezy summer day on the Mediterranean coastline. The contemporary Italian menu features an array of classic and modern dishes that showcase Mediterranean-inspired flavours.

Guests can enjoy traditional favourites such as antipasti served with focaccina, handmade burrata, and classic wood-fired pizzas, as well as more innovative options. The Caspian Mediterranean Bar & Grill – Davistown

 

Having opened in January, this little gem has been popular among our Coasties community. And for good reason. Who doesn’t love a Mediterranean restaurant?

 

Located in the quiet little suburb of Davistown, it is a destination restaurant worth the trip.

People are raving about the food from their Middle-Eastern inspired menu and the generous servings.

C9 Chocolate & Gelato – Tuggerah

 

If your sweet tooth is asking for some attention, we have the place for you. Located in Westfield Tuggerah, this dessert bar is highly passionate about their gelato.

 

Self-proclaimed gelato maestros, their Italian gelato maker has over 20 years of experience.

 

A full dessert menu is available, including crepes, croffles, donuts, cronuts, hot chocolate, coffee and cold drinks – this one suits anyone with a hankering for something sweet!
